Project Introduction

Jane Jin Kaisen, Old Moon – New Moon, 2026, single channel video
Commissioned for this exhibition, Old Moon – New Moon is a 12-minute single-channel video that follows the format established in the artist’s recent works. Based on a cyclical structure, it engages with the periodicity of nature, the moon, and time. The artist is collaborating with Rundetårn Observatory to capture high-resolution footage of the moon using a telescope. The production is supported by consultation with an astrophysicist from the Institute for Space Research and Technology, and the footage serves as the primary visual material. The work incorporates the 12-hour time difference between Korea and Brazil, with screening schedules alternating between the two venues. When the video is shown in one location, it is not shown in the other, establishing a temporal relationship between sites that share the same moon. Copenhagen, where the footage is produced, is situated between the two regions and functions as a point of reference, positioning the moon as a connector across continents and time zones.

Vivian Caccuri, Gtonet-Mor Series, 2026 mixed media installation
Taking its title from gatonet, a slang term in Brazil referring to illegal cable TV and internet networks, this work is presented as a large-scale speaker sculpture and electrical cable installation that symbolizes informal and uneven networks. It visualizes the pervasive urban sub-infrastructures in contemporary Brazil, as well as inequalities in access to information and the social conditions through which technology operates.
