Project Introduction

 Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Türkiye (CSO), with a nearly 200-year history, is returning to Korea to celebrate the 67th anniversary of Korea-Türkiye diplomatic relations. This marks their first visit to Korea in 31 years, since their 1993 tour. Joining them on stage is pianist Honggi Kim, a graduate of Germany's top national music academy and winner of numerous international piano competitions. Their historic performance will be part of the '4-Color Concert,' a highlight of the 'Music in PyeongChang', Asia's largest classical music festival.

 Under the baton of Maestro Cem'i Can Deliorman, pianist Honggi Kim will join the 75 musicians of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO). The program features three pieces, including works by Türkiye's celebrated composer, Ferit Tüzün. The concert opens with Çayda Çıra by Ferit Tüzün, followed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s emotionally charged Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 23. The program concludes with Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95, 'From the New World,' often recognized as the theme music from the film 'Jaws'."
