Project Introduction

 The first collaborative project between the Korean Printmakers Association and Atelier Circulaire, a renowned printmaking art center in Quebec, Canada, will be showcased in a new exhibition. Featuring the work of 24 artists, 12 from each country, the exhibition will explore the unique characteristics of printmaking, with a particular focus on the concept of reproduction. It will be held at Space Sophora in Jung-gu, Seoul, from late November to mid-December and then at 'Atelier Circulaire', Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from March 13th to April 5th, 2025.

 An Exihbition "Me to You, You to Me - Our Encounter Through Printmaking" is unique visual arts project brings together Korean and Canadian artists in a collaborative exploration of printmaking. Artists from both countries exchange their work, sending it to Seoul and Montreal, where it's reinterpreted and expanded upon by the local artists. This experimental approach involves entrusting a piece of art, a part of one's artistic soul, to another artist for transformation. The exhibition showcases 36 collaborative works that fully utilize the reproductive nature of printmaking. It invites viewers to engage with the 'encounter of me and you,' theme while highlighting the limitless potential of contemporary printmaking.
