Project Introduction
Celebrating a decade of the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand and the 65th anniversary of Korea-Thailand diplomatic relations, artists from both nations are joining forces to stage a new play inspired by the Korean War.
Based on the popular Thai webtoon "One Day, My Favorite K-Pop Idol Group Leader Disappeared" this theatrical production infuses traditional Korean music into a reimagined narrative.
Set to premiere at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok this August, the play will then tour to Modu Art Theater in Seoul and Pocheon Banwol Art Hall in September, offering audiences a unique opportunity to reflect on the enduring friendship between Korea and Thailand.
A descendant of a Korean War veteran embarks on an epic journey through time in this new theatrical adaptation. Based on a popular webtoon, the play follows our hero as they seek to revive a beloved K-pop star who has vanished from the world.
Against the backdrop of the Korean War, the protagonist encounters the courage and compassion of Thai and Korean veterans, forging a profound connection between the two nations.
With a powerful blend of history and imagination, this production is a moving testament to the enduring power of friendship and the unwavering pursuit of freedom.
