Project Introduction

The first inbound project of the 2025 Kore·A·Round Culture series, was a joint creation between France and Korea. For this performance, France’s Hervé KOUBI Company and the Busan International Dance Festival’s organizing committee came together to create a new artistic dialogue.
Premiered in Busan, South Korea, “No Matter” presented a unique and intense stage experience—infused with explosive energy reminiscent of Quentin Tarantino’s style, dark and captivating moods, vibrant psychedelic lighting, and powerful live punk rock music performed by the Dear Deer Group.
The performance conveyed that whether we identify as women, men, or beyond, what truly matters is boldly expressing one’s authentic self. It invited the audience to reflect, experience liberation, and gain the strength to move forward with confidence.
Invited as part of the 21st Busan International Dance Festival, the show was staged on June 6 and 8, 2025, at both the Haeundae Special Stage and the Haneulyeon Theater of the Busan Cinema Center. The work transcended language and cultural barriers to engage audiences through the art of dance. In November, the work will continue its journey with performances in Cannes and Nice, France, reaching new audiences abroad.
