Project Introduction

‘Two Islands in Harmony’ is a Korea–Singapore jazz exchange project presented as a part of 2025 Kore∙A∙Round Culture. Following the Korean artists’ performance at the Esplanade, Singapore in September, this finale served as the closing stage of the cultural exchange between the two countries. A wide range of Singaporean jazz bands including the Andrew Lim Trio, the Alemay Fernandez Quartet, and the Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO) took the stage at Korea’s largest jazz festival, the Jarasum Jazz Festival. From October 17 to 19, artists who have shaped Singapore’s jazz scene with their own distinctive styles performed for Korean audiences. Notably, the JASSO concert featured Korean jazz vocalist Lee Daewon as a guest performer, creating a new musical synergy that transcended borders.
